Tribute Shows

We currently offer five different shows: Johnny & June, Buddy Holly Tribute I, Buddy Holly Tribute II, Shania Twain Tribute, and Pop 60s Flashback. Each run about 90 minutes, but we can tailor the length of the performance to suit your schedule. Why two Buddy Holly shows? We know so many of his songs, we couldn't fit them all in one performance. We received many requests for other songs we weren't doing, so we created the Buddy Holly Tribute II.

We don't have a band; we both sing, using backing tracks for many of the songs, with Rob playing live guitar, and also play quite a few with no backing tracks -- just the live guitar and singing. For some songs, we both play guitar.

In addition to performing the music, we provide interesting information about the artists themselves: their lives, music, and careers.

Swing dancing (Lindy hop) demonstrations are a part of both shows. We generally dance four times during the shows.

We dress up the show with stage props that help set the mood for each show: Oversized 45s, a Wurlitzer jukebox standup, posters, etc. (As venue permits: Outdoor concerts may be too windy, for example!)

If appropriate for the venue, we can also bring Hula hoops along for the Buddy Holly show.

Dancing is always encouraged. As long as there is room, we love it when couples get up to dance during the show.

Weddings and other large catered parties

We can appear as a special highlight to the evening's festivities by doing a swing dancing demo or by jumping up to do one or two songs (Buddy Holly, etc.) while the band is on break, or as can be conveniently arranged with the DJ. Generally we do this kind of thing right before the DJ/band officially opens up the dance floor. It's a great way to get the party started, and to make your wedding even more memorable.

You need not pay us; we love what we do, and will gladly do it just for the joy of it.

If there's anything else you can think of that you'd like done, run it by us. We're yours for the duration of the party.

At 50s themed parties, we can also bring Hula hoops along for a contest or just for fun.

Classic Car Shows, Festivals, Street Fairs

Here are some ideas for large outdoor gatherings of this kind:

  • 90-minute Buddy Holly or Shania Twain tribute
  • If you can't fit us in as a full-length act, have us do a few songs as a cameo while the main band is on break.
  • Have us do a dance performance on or offstage while the headline band plays, or with prerecorded music while the band is on break -- we don't charge for this kind of cameo appearance; we're glad to do it just for fun and to add to the show.
  • We can bring along the Hula hoops for a contest or just for fun.

Pricing

For a 90-minute performance, we normally ask $350. However, this varies according to the length of the show, services provided, and your budget. Just let us know the details and we'll work together on a figure.
